"Is this how you repay Yahveh, O vile and unwise nation." Deuteronomy 32:6
A vile behavior is a lack of gratitude towards Yahveh. We should serve Him not in order to receive compensation,
but rather because of the countless kindnesses, which He has bestowed upon us and because of the greatness of the Master who
is fit to be served this way. Often, we take life and good health for granted, while bemoaning things that are trivial in
comparison. For this and other reasons it is proper to visit the sick from time to time. When we come in contact with people
who only yesterday were healthy and are today ill, we are reminded to be grateful for the gift of life and good health.
